My name is Steph and I have a passion for transforming lives.
Faced with some challenges in 2018, I made a bold decision to pursue my love for fitness by becoming a Gym Instructor. I seized the opportunity during the 2020 lockdown to start my Level 3 Personal Training certification.
Since then, I have empowered numerous clients, delighting in their newfound confidence, and helping them create sustainable, healthy lifestyles. I understand the apprehension that comes with stepping into a gym for the first time and I am committed to making every client feel at ease, guiding them through each piece of equipment with confidence.
Within my client group there have been some remarkable achievements, including guiding a client into remission for type 2 diabetes, providing unwavering support throughout a client’s pregnancy and beyond, and preparing another for total knee replacement surgery. My holistic approach to fitness extends beyond the gym, ensuring my clients’ well-being in all aspects of life.
You can also find me leading high-intensity gym classes at Xcite Linlithgow, where I foster a supportive and encouraging environment for individuals to challenge themselves with bodyweight and functional exercises. I also lead the Xcite Run Club on Saturday mornings and the Women's Weightlifting Club on Wednesday evenings at Xcite Linlithgow, as I think having the right community of like-minded people around you will help you achieve your goals.
My expertise has led me to become the Lead Trainer and Assessor for Scotland with a prestigious fitness education company in the UK. Here, I mentor aspiring Gym Instructors and Personal Trainers, guiding them on their journey to success in the fitness industry.
My greatest joy comes from surprising people with their own strength, helping them feel better in themselves, and instilling a genuine excitement for going to the gym. I look forward to welcoming you to the world of fitness, where I will empower you to surpass your limits and achieve your goals.
"I was diagnosed in 2019 with type 2 diabetes and my reading was 76 at the time. I was not looking after myself really until August 2021 when I started working with Steph.
In January 2022 this reading dropped to 56 and then in June 2022 I got the best news ever! It dropped to 37, which meant I am now no longer classed as type 2 diabetic. This is all down to a good exercise regime, increasing my step count and a more balanced approach in my diet.
We took little steps at a time, never changed everything at once. The best thing is: I still have some chocolate every day!" - Victoria
