Xcite Becomes First in Scotland to Launch BOX12 In-Club Experience!

We are thrilled to share that Xcite Craigswood will be the first venue in Scotland to introduce the BOX12 in-club experience!

Already popular in a number of venues across the UK, BOX12 combines the high-energy elements of boxing with functional circuit training, making it accessible, effective, and ideal for busy schedules.

WHAT IS BOX12?

BOX12 is designed to deliver a structured, results-driven workout that fits any lifestyle. Each session incorporates boxing and functional training in a skill-based format that’s both engaging and efficient.

In a joint statement, Jon Eade and Jamie Cartwright, Co-Founders and Directors of BOX12, shared their enthusiasm for this new partnership:

"We're really proud to partner in bringing the first BOX12 in club solution to Scotland with such a forward-thinking, community-focused organisation.  West Lothian Leisure’s' commitment to offering unique and flexible workout experiences to their members aligns perfectly with our mission to make fitness more accessible and engaging for everyone.
At BOX12, we are passionate about delivering best-in-class fitness experiences that not only cater to diverse member needs but also support our partners in driving exercise participation and engagement in their communities.”

Kerry Taylor, Xcite Operations Manager, echoed the excitement about the launch:

“We’re thrilled to introduce the very first BOX12 in-club experience in Scotland to Xcite Craigswood. During our research, some of our team had the chance to try a BOX12 session, and it’s an incredible workout — effective, time-efficient, and designed with busy schedules in mind. With a new circuit starting every three minutes, it offers fantastic flexibility for our customers.
Our goal is always to enhance the customer experience, inspire more people to get active, and provide diverse fitness options across West Lothian. BOX12 represents the kind of innovation we’re proud to bring to our community, and we can’t wait to welcome members and non members to try it out!”

What will happen to indoor cycling @ Xcite Craigswood?

We are temporarily reducing the group cycling programme at Xcite Craigswood as we develop a longer term plan for this activity. We understand this may be disappointing for regular group cycle members; however, we are actively exploring alternative spaces within the building as part of a larger refurbishment project.

Our Saturday indoor cycling class has been the most popular session, so starting Saturday, 16th November, we’re introducing an alternative indoor cycling class in Studio 1 at 9:05am. Due to limited space in Studio 1, this class will have slightly reduced capacity (maximum of 15) but you can expect the same great workout experience. We are also exploring options to add more cycling classes in Studio 1, depending on demand, schedule and instructor availability.

For customers who prefer on-demand virtual cycling classes, we’ve relocated two spin bikes onto the gym floor and added over 50 virtual indoor cycling classes to the Les Mills content on the Xcite WLL app. With 30, 40, and 45-minute classes available—including RPM, Sprint, and The Trip—you can easily select and stream your preferred class directly from your mobile device.

Additional Group Cycle classes are available at Xcite Broxburn, Xcite Bathgate, and Xcite Linlithgow—check the class timetables HERE.

*Xcite Online access is included with our Xcite Active+, Xcite Active 65+, Access Xcite and Xcite Corporate memberships. Ask a member of the team for more details.
